San Francisco Goldfish Trip!

This summer I visited a pet store in Chinatown in San Francisco that had amazing goldfish. We were on our way to a baseball game so I didn't buy any, but made a special trip there yesterday.

Here's a pic of me from this summer: 100_5729.jpg

(Where's Erin, yes, I'm wearing THAT shirt! LOL)

I wanted to share pics of the new babies I brought home. No show quality fish but I felt they were very nice looking! (And they all color-coordinate-that wasn't planned!)

The first lionhead I've ever owned:

Butterfly tail telescope (he has a bruised eye, possibly from the long trip being bumped around):

Pearlscale (who will be joining my fantail in the heated pond):

That pearlie has the neatest top-view pattern!

Another telescope shot (it's difficult to take clear pics of shiny white fish):

Good going, Jen! And the picture with you infront of all those fish is priceless! Grab any fish, just any! Hold your hand in those tanks and see what swims by. :thud

Your new fish are lovely, especially the pearlie. They are one of my favorite, and the pattern is very distinct on yours. :heart

We just came home from the store and the little lionhead is dead!! :cry1

I have no idea why and I'm really bummed. He was small and maybe just couldn't take the stress of the move. I still feel bad though. I hate when pets die and I really wanted to see what that fish would grow into.

On a different note, I think we need to all get together and start a new t-shirt fund! :yikes Someone seems to only have one fun shirt to wear for all her photos. :rofl

Yes it is!! Very good for recognizing it. It is at 660 Broadway, between Grant and Stockton street. We just parked a ways away and walked because it is really crazy right around there. Mapquest the address and you should be able to find it no problem. Definitely worth checking out!

(I was very disappointed int he quality of the other pets in the store thouhg and was appalled at the puppies. PM for more info on that since i don't want to post it here).
