Genetics Question

I know Daryl is the pre-eminent base of knowledge it seems for goldfish genetics, but I was curious about the calico gene. I can't find an answer anywhere, really and was wondering if calico was caused by a dominent gene? Or a sex-linked gene? Or could both parents be ''split'' for calico and we never know it until they have babies?

Also, what about fin length? Like, say with egg fish...would a phoenix egg and a normal egg produce all short-fin babies split for phoenix, or would they produce some showing for phoenix, some not? Just curious, thanks!
