Hi Guys, here are a few shots of one of my newer fishes. This is Orinoco, he is one of a pair of teeny weeny tiku pearlscales I got well over two months ago now - unfortunately I lost the other one soon after I got them. Orinoco is a real little fighter, very determined and very cute to watch too! I think he was only about an inche when I got him, now he just over two inches (inc tail)! :D

What a cutie pie! Wonderful looking little pearlie. I think he wants to come live with his Auntie Lola! What do you think, naw, never mind, I probably don't want to know. What a sweet fish though, sorry for your loss of the other one. :heart

How cute is that--a baby pearlie. :)

I had a marble size calico pearlie for a while when I was much younger. They were just coming into vogue I think and he was quite a novelty. I put him in with my shubie and he was always nipping the shubie's tail fins! So they got separate housing. Do you notice your pearlie's being more nippy/aggressive than other types of gf?

Hi Kristi, well not really. I have pearlscale-only tanks and I haven't noticed them to be more nippy/aggressive than other goldfish generally. I think it depends on the individual personality/temperament of the fish somewhat - I mean, I have one male for example who is a bit nippy sometimes, but nothing over the top, or unusual for male behaviour. Not sure how my gang would behave in a tank with other types of goldfish though... I have a tank with two Oranda's in it and they tend to be quite boisterous, so I wouldn't dream of keep my pearlies with them for example :)

Hes gonna grow bigger and rounder in your wonderful care I know :) .

Thanks Imogen! :heart I'm trying...
