Regular Member tinkerbell Posted July 5, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted July 5, 2007 before i start, i appologise for the modified pic ok, so heres an easy way to create an air stream in your tank.... As you can see, drilling a hole in the top of the filter head and pushing a piece of air line through (which needs to reach above water level for air to get in) will create a simple way to oxygenate your tank jsut as a warning, it is probably better to detatch the head of the filter from the body before drilling a hole, as you can see where you are drilling too. Guest avalon
This also works if you drill the hole in the filter output tube and attach tubing. Its called a venturi...

Regular Member nalkari2001 Posted June 15, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted June 15, 2012 You will be better to drill the hole in the pump outlet and attache the airline there. The probelm with injecting the air directly into the pump is if the air can destroy the impellor. Paul
