Do you keep the temp up during spawning (78F) to encourage it, or is that simply a factor of environment? Are you chilling to keep the fry at 68? I thought the longer tailed fancies did better at about 70...... have you found 68 yields good tails?

I have also noticed your tank setups in other photos. I would be very curious as to the stucture of the framing you created for those tanks. That would be a very interesting post in the DIY section. I am all for DIY setups!!!!

Hatching temp:68(℉) is vert very stable, but this explanation will not apply to all cases.

(only ranchu or tosakin)

As you know, hatching temp is good fish make or break.

I am sorry that I could not send you a reply as I am not very good at English.

:) That indeed was a very cool DIY Breeding mop.

You should stick that in the DIY section, along with all the materials you used.I'm sure a few people would be interested. :exactly

Ranchu.org, the material for the spawning mob, is that yarn, or something else? :)

No, I meant the blue stuff that you are brushing and working on - that isn't a plant, is it? I am just wondering if synthetic yarn would be a good option. I have spawning mobs that my husband originally used for koi, but that stuff is rather expensive.
