Regular Member TetraLover Posted February 27, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted February 27, 2007 I think it's like a 20 gallon? I didn't measure it, but it looks about a foot wide, a foot high, and about 2 1/2 feet long. Someone threw it out on the curb. Of course, after getting it home and cleaning out the junk (it had some kind of rodent in it previously, sure smelled like it) I notice that the glass bottom is all smashed, and there's a sticker saying: "Creature Cage" "Caution: Do Not Fill With Water" Has anyone ever sealed these with aquarium sealer to make them waterproof? I already know the bottom has to be replaced. I was thinking maybe plexiglass or something.
Regular Member viscosity2004 Posted February 27, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted February 27, 2007 :\ If the bottom's all smashed out you may need to replace it with a new pane.
Regular Member Trinket Posted February 27, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted February 27, 2007 You must've been dissapointed to read that sticker and see it was smashed.. Maybe new glass with aquarium sealant would work if you are handy at those kind of things. But I am wondering why it says do not fill with water if that was before it was smashed..there may be leaks elsewhere.
Regular Member daryl Posted February 27, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted February 27, 2007 AW - that is too bad. IF you can replace the bottom panel, it is not too hard to reseal the rest, though. Good luck.
Regular Member abeadle Posted February 27, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted February 27, 2007 Be careful though! The sticker may have meant that the glass is not strong enough for water! If you fix it, you should fill it outside the first time to test it.
