Regular Member TetraLover Posted February 21, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted February 21, 2007 I've taken my last two survivors out of the goldy tank, and put them in a 1 gallon. The problem is, the filter I have is too strong for them now. I leave it on for about 5 minutes, then turn it off for 5 minutes to give them a break. Is there a way I can use just an airstone and do more frequent water changes? (Like 20% every day or 50% every other day) They really freak out and struggle when the filter is on, and it's on the lowest setting.
Regular Member Kissy Posted February 21, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted February 21, 2007 What kind of fish are these?? No fish is suitable for a 1 gallon, sorry. Is the filter already cycled? If it is, turning it off for parts of the day will kill the cycle. If its a new uncycled filter, just remove it and do frequent waterchanges until you can buy them a bigger tank.
