Regular Member goldfishgrateful Posted February 19, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted February 19, 2007 I just added him (I'm assuming it's a he since this behavior) a few days ago, and since then, he's been chasing murka, my pearlscale, every now and then. He goes right under the tail fin, and just nudges her, then follows her when she moves away. My tank temp is around 72-74 degrees, but the lionhead has no breeding stars or anything. Also, murka is like three times bigger than rollo. (the lionhead who's chasing her) And he doesn't bother any of the other fish. So, is he just experimenting? being so young and all? Regular Member Wasabi Posted March 16, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted March 16, 2007 I had the same thing happen to me with my two goldfish when I added the smaller one. Their probably just playing around like mine did. Because he's probably not at a mature enough age to be mating yet. How big is the fish who is chasing around Murka? Regular Member devinzbaby Posted March 17, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted March 17, 2007 I guess its possible. How many iches is he? Ans have you tried using a flash light on him to make sure that there are no breeding stars visible?
