Regular Member CometKeeper Posted February 17, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted February 17, 2007 I was at a large, retail store that sells Goldfish [this one actually takes care of their Goldies; my son works there] and I saw a very unusual looking Calico Fantail. This beauty was quite large - I'd say body was 4-5" and his body was elongated and eliptical like a Comet's. His fins were also very much like a Comet's - long, deeply forked, carried well spread... yet perfectly split. Dorsal well carried; anal and pectoral fins are all very long and flowing and paired. The fish looks like a double-finned Shubie. Not a Calico Fantail which of course, he is. Nicely marked, too. Heavily blue with lots of black, evenly scattered gold and brown flecks. Big, dark eyes. Tempting... except at same store I bought a gorgeous, 6" white Comet with lemon-colored fins a few weeks ago.

Regular Member Jeana727 Posted February 17, 2007 Regular Member Share Posted February 17, 2007 There should be a law that if you see a beautiful fish & decide to post about it you have X amount of time to post a picture! It is cruel & unusual punishment to not let US see the fish too!
