Blood In The Gills

Recommended Posts

Guest shaz

just wondering if anyone knows why I'm losing my goldfish at a rate of one a day at mo.

When I find them sick they have blood coming out of their gills, any help would be great as these fish are only a couple of years old and really large. :whatjust:

Water has been tested at pet shop and comes up fine. Tank is 3ft-2ft-2ft not sure of how many gallons of water. Tank has been running for two years.

Running a fluval 402 filter system and don't and never have used additives in my water, fluval cleaned approx every 3 months.

Water change is done once a week and 10% taken out at each change.

Fish have been on the same food for last two years. Find fish on bottom of tank but they are all still eating. Help please

first off, we need to know the exact reading for the water. Just because the petshop sais its fine, doesnt mean it isnt.

Also, your tank is about 90 gallons.

If there is blood coming out of the gills, this could be a parasight. but I'm not 100% sure.

How many goldfish are there in the tank?

For now, I suggest you upped the water change to 25-50% per week.

Whan u said u don't use any conditioners, do you mean that your water is chlorime-free so that u don't need to use conditioner?
