Guest Halloween
I had a terrible accident a few months ago where I sucked my poor fantail with a syphon hose. I saw it and was able to release her before she got sucked IN but she lost sight in one eye. The eye never fell out or turned any colors, it just sticks out a little weird. My question is, could the fish ever see out of it again? Or were the nerves (and what not) probably severed??? Thanks.
Regular Member JenW Posted December 29, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted December 29, 2006 It's hard to say but you could try something. On the side where the eye is compromised, move your hands in front of her face (on the outside of the glass). Try to do it while side on and if she reacts, there could be some sight in that eye but if you find she doesn't react, it could be due to loss of sight. This isn't a full proof determining method but can give you an idea
