I have a red betta called 'Slash'. He lives in my 10 gallon with 6 tetras, a couple of cories and a bristlenose. I was thinking of getting a female betta for him. Would he be ok with that or will he attack her? I'm very new to caring for bettas so I have no idea

 He will kill her Selena if she doesn't kill him first. The only time that they should ever be introduced is when you're spawning them, and even then they've been known to really hurt each other. My spawn of Betta's lived for a few months together when they were real young, but then I had to seperate them as they were getting rather nasty with each other.
