Regular Member bettaqueen Posted December 11, 2006 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 11, 2006 You're welcome Katmad. I thought it might be helpful for those of us who have elderly betttas living with us like I do. I am always looking for informative articles on anything concerning bettas, and if I read one that I think has some pretty good info in it,I will share it by posting it for everyone. Regular Member Imber Posted December 11, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted December 11, 2006 That is a nice article and it is spot on with a lot of my old man's symptoms before he passed on a few months ago. He dulled and lost his eyesight. His tail shortened and he became lazier and lazier lying in his leaf with his nose sticking out of the water. It was almost like he faded away. I miss him, but I know that he lived to old age so I'm happy for that.

Regular Member katmad Posted December 11, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted December 11, 2006 yes it is nice to know what to expect in their old age so it isnt mistaken for illness and incorrectly treated. I dont know how old my betta is, but he is full size i think. hopefully he will be with me for years yet
