Regular Member SusanH Posted December 6, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted December 6, 2006 http://torgo.spleens.net/fish/spaulding.jpg Spalding was quickly taken by what is apparently a very nasty bacterial infection. His death was truly atrocious but at least it wasn't prolonged. I miss Spalding. He was the fattest fish I'd ever seen (his picture doesn't show this). He was like a little orange baseball. I look in my tank and it's sort of empty now... A late goodbye to Quimby, who was my absolute favorite Oranda and actually the first goldfish I was ever interested in taking very good care of. http://torgo.spleens.net/fish/quimby.jpg Quimby and Spalding

Punch is my first- and just the thought of finding him no longer of this world makes this financial planner a blubbering mess- and that gets expensive with silk ties (lol) Only Fish owners- majority- can truly relate to your real loss of a friend and the sadness that follows- I truly wonder how I will operate in ther days that follow that fateful day - Take heart in our ability to keep the greatest gift that a fish could give- that of fond memories and the thiings that they do- or did - that make us laugh. If you would care to see a short video of Punch and I actually playing - For you- your memories seem full or life and pleasure- believe that you gave him the same good things in life that he gave you- Eric
