Guest Lala
Hey guys, I asked a similar question a few days ago but the answers were few and far apart. So I am trying again. I have an ehiem 2222 filter and I am not sure if the paddings need to be changed or cleaned. My filter uses one bit is blue sponge some subtrate pebbles and a white synthetic filter floss (that's my display tank) my bedroom tank has an internal pump which houses one green, one black and 3 blue filter sponges. Can some please assist me soon because i don't want to be poisoning my fish with old waste.
Regular Member Blue Posted December 5, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted December 5, 2006 I am not familier with Eheim filters as I use Fluval filters. When you do a water change I would rinse your sponge media in the water you remove from tank so you don't kill good bacteria and then put it back.In your instructions you got with your filter it should give info on cleaning your filter and media.I know my Fluvals all came with full instructions.
