Hey, I recently started using Seachem's Prime water conditioner and upon opening the bottle, I noticed small black specks on the bottom of the container. Are they supposed to be there??

Actually, now they're floating around and I'm starting to worry.

Yep, the black specs are normal--along with the awful smell.

Great product, huh? :D

Oh the things we do for our fish!!

Oh, whew! Thanks! LoL. That's good to know they're supposed to be there. Just curious, though, what in the world are they?? LoL. :)

Well, now you've stumped me!

I don't know what the black specs are but on the Seachem website it says that the sulfur odor is normal and it may also contain black specs. It doesn't say what the black specs are though.

I guess we'll just have to make up our own answer . . . . .

haha - the awful smell! I use AmQuel Plus, and noticed the AWFUL smell about two weeks into it's use. Man-oh-man that stuff smells like the grave. I'm glad that's normal - I was beginning to think I was adding something rotten to my tank!
