I Have A Question...

Alright, on my goldfish so far my fantails/doubletails are males cause they have the white spots on the gill cover and first bone of the pectoral fin that the males get around breeding time. And so far my single tails do not. I figure that if the double/fantail goldfish have them then the single tail ones would too. But so far it looks like all my single tails are females and the double/fantails are males. I have NO IDEA how it turned out like that. But my question is that if that's the way it is then can my double/fantails breed with the single tails?

They certainly could breed together although I'm not sure what the offspring would look like. Probably would be mostly single tail since that is the dominant trait.
