Could There Be Signs Of Disease When...?

When your fish eats sinking goldfish pellets, spits them out only to eat them again... several times? Even if the pellets were soaked for over 2 minutes? My Black Moor seems to do that alot.

Also when a fish floats at the surface for awhile only to swim away when you approach? Can it be a sign also of an illness that's about to start on your fish?

I would say only if these behaviours are new. How are you water parameters?

Try using smaller pellets for your moor, or flakes, the ones you are currently using may be difficult for him to eat.

It's normal for some fish to float on surface, only for a while, they are resting.

Fish bearing Parasites are also known for spitting out food. Check for other signs-flashing/scratching- twitching/split fins/ pale gills,etc...

Fish floating could be water param's,or a swim bladder problem. What are your param's-how often how much are you feeding the fish?
