Regular Member sandtiger Posted March 22, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted March 22, 2006 Here are some more of my fish. All these fish are wild caught, most of them from Ohio but the tadpole madtoms come from Alabama. There are four darters, a pair of eatch species the orangethroats and rainbows. Here are the darters and a brindled madtom. Large egg filled female orangthroat darter. Male Orangthroat Male Rainbow darter Here are the tadpole madtoms. There are 7 all together. Regular Member glitterfish Posted March 22, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted March 22, 2006 They have spectacular color!! Did you catch them yourself?
Regular Member sandtiger Posted March 22, 2006 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 22, 2006 Yeah, they are legal. Most fish classified as non-game fish are legal to keep or collect unless they are an endangered species. The laws can vary from state to state. New York does have darters but nether of those two species are found here, they were shipped to me from Ohio.

Regular Member sandtiger Posted March 27, 2006 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 27, 2006 They eat frozen bloodworms mostly, I am trying to get them to eat flakes but so far they take them in and spit them out soon afterwards. The madtoms on the other hand eat just about everything.
