* Test Results for the Following:

Ammonia Level? 0

Nitrite Level? 0

Nitrate level? 0

Ph Level, (If possible,KH and GH and chloramines)? 7.6 unknown kh and gh.

Ph Level out of the Tap? Untested

* Tank size (How many Gals) and How long has it been running? 60 for about 8 months

* What is the name and size of the filter/s? tetra filters with 660gph.

* How often do you change the water and how much? i do about a 40 every week.

# How many fish in the tank and their size? 3 5-6 inch fish.

# What kind of water additives or conditioners? Decholorinator.

# Any medications added to the tank? No

# Add any new fish to the tank? No

# What do you feed your fish? Staple flake and pellet. Krill, bloodworms frozen.

# Any unusual findings on the fish such as "grains of salt",

bloody streaks, frayed fins or fungus? The Ryukin has bloody streaks.

# Any unusual behavior like staying

at the bottom, not eating, ect..? They are sitting at the bottom.

Well my problem is that my ryukin sometimes rests on the bottom. She has red streaks on her back fin, and will sit on the bottom. Then will get up and swim around when i walk near the tank. I've heard about fish resting as a sort of sleep thing, i was thinking this might be it.

The other two fish sometimes rest at the bottom as well but no red streaks. They swim around fast, not lazy. But just sometimes they sit on the bottom. They eat well, and play with each other a lot and there is nothing unusual besides that.

Red streaking is essentially due to stress which can have a number of causes behind it.

I'm wondering why you're showing no nitrates in your water?

Have you noticed what your little ryukin's poop is like?

Does she have times of activity during the day?

When was the last waterchange?

How long has she been like this? Especially the red streaks?

What kind of dechlorinator do you use?

Is there any chance of a picture?

Please post back soon :)

 Yea,I was wondering about lack of Nitrates too. In a tank that's been up and running for 8 months, you should have 0 readings for your Ammonia/Nitrites,but should have an actual # for your NitrAtes. What/how do you do your tank maintainance?

Okay i redid the nitrate test, and its 20. I guess I messed up last test.

The last time i did a water change was 3 days ago. A 40%

I use aquasafe dechlorinator. I took pictures and it turns out the ryukin's streaks are really really bad. I asked my mom if she's seen that before and she said she's noticed it a few months now, but it just got worse. She didn't know it was a problem.

They changed the color of the first half of her tail to a reddish color. It's really sad.

She doesn't seem to have any other symptoms, as you can see from one of the pictures, she keeps her top fin fully erect.

She also has some red streaks on her two bottom fins and her anal fins too!

What do i do?!?!?!
