Regular Member Groucho the goldfish Posted November 18, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted November 18, 2003 If you have a ten gallon tank and it stays super clean is possible to add a third fish in or would that be to stressful for him
Regular Member may Posted November 18, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted November 18, 2003 How big are the fish in there, and how big is the one you want to add? If they're all under 2 inches, that might work for a while, but any bigger and I'd stick with the two.
Regular Member Groucho the goldfish Posted November 18, 2003 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 18, 2003 The one im wanting to add is a fantail and the others are 5 and4 inches.
Regular Member Lachfa Posted November 18, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted November 18, 2003 No - it is already overstocked with the two fish.
Regular Member Groucho the goldfish Posted November 18, 2003 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 18, 2003 dang! Maybe i could use a five gallon tub for the fantail until i get a bigger tank would that work? Maybe i should get rid of my koi and then put him in there.

Regular Member Lachfa Posted November 18, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted November 18, 2003 You have a Koi in a 10 gallon. That is a big mistake - find someone to take him and only keep your one fish in your 10 gallon until you get a bigger tank, then get your other fish. I know it is hard I am fighting the urge right now to get an albino Oscar - but I don't have room for him!
Regular Member Lovely_Goldfish Posted November 19, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted November 19, 2003 dont get oscars, they eat ur goldfish as for your 10g tank, get a bigger tank or a rubbermaid. dont buy more fish
Regular Member Lachfa Posted November 19, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted November 19, 2003 I'm not going to get the Oscar - I just really like him. I think they are kind of ugly when they are big - but he is very small right now. I would have to get another tank for him - and I don't have the room or the money to do that. He is white with orange spots and orange/pink eyes.
