Is This Going To Be A Problem?

I got a new fish, a black ranchu, from Fish Sempai this weekend. He's a really cute ~3" black ranchu. You can see pics about him HERE.

As you might be able to see from the pics, his eyes are all but covered over by his wen. I didn't even think about it being a problem until Froggydella asked if this was going to cause him problems down the road...

It got me thinking.

I've never had a fish with a wen before. I have no idea how or when to trim a wen. He's such a young fish, and already pretty blind because of the growth. I don't mind if he can't see too well, as long as it's not going to be a health problem for him.

I doubt it will cause any major problems unless it grows over his gill covers. Just hand feed him if he is having trouble finding food, and he should be fine. :)
