Regular Member svendenhowser Posted October 14, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted October 14, 2005 Well its been a while since i posted some pics of my fish, and who dosent like pics! The goldfish photos forum is my favourite part! Even though i dont post much i love seeing everyones goldies!! Well i'm still searching for the perfect red and white celestial (i actually found celestial pom poms! but their bodies were pretty poor). But here are my tank inhabitants with a couple of newbies!! Princess Popsicle is a darn good model, always up in the cameras face to give me some windswept look. http://tbbw.customer.netspace.net.au/anima.../fish%20002.jpg Then we have my redcap oranda, who does not seem to be growing at all... He's been this size for as long as i can remember! The only thing that seems to be growing is his wen, which is growing slowly. http://tbbw.customer.netspace.net.au/anima.../fish%20010.jpg My ranchu Pirate (1 of 2 fish in my tank that actually have names!) is quite camera shy, its very hard to get a good pic of him, but here he is with one of the new additions, a blue telescope butterfly tail (she dosent look very blue in the pic though). I'm afraid shes going to lose the blue though and become white, but i dont care, she had a beautiful body. http://tbbw.customer.netspace.net.au/anima.../fish%20012.jpg And of course my chocolate fantail/veiltail. Everyone loves him, but he still dosent have a name... He's still ever growing. http://tbbw.customer.netspace.net.au/anima.../fish%20014.jpg This is the newest addition to the family. According to the fish store it was a ranchu, but could it be a lionhead? Its got quite a nice wen growing. Its like got the bum end of a ranchu and the head of a lionhead. Maybe you guys could help me out Its got a really yellow head, thats what made me fall in love with it (he?she?who knows..). http://tbbw.customer.netspace.net.au/anima.../fish%20039.jpg Then the obligatory snail Hes new too, and about the size of an apple i guess, a small apple He loves zuchinni (what snail dosent?) and cruisin round the tank at meteor speeds! http://tbbw.customer.netspace.net.au/anima.../fish%20032.jpg And i had to add this, its a goldfish from a chinese/vietnamese resturant we went to Everytime you go there they give you a little statue carved out of a carrot, this time we got a goldfish!! So i took him home and kept him in water til he went mouldy, but took some nice pics before http://tbbw.customer.netspace.net.au/anima...0fish%20010.jpg I still have to decorate my tank, i'm oh so lazy, or fussy.. I dont know, i just cant decide, or i cant find the right decorations. I saw a tank with black gravel and a few bigger bright red stones in it, it was really effective, but i dont know what decor would go with it. Anyway enjoy

Regular Member d_golem Posted October 14, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted October 14, 2005 Wow u got some really nice fishies there! The redcap oranda photo is stunning, why don't u save it for pic of the week?? I can't see the bum end of ur newest ranchu clearly, so can't confirm if it's a ranchu or lionhead, but wen growth is more "ranchu-ish" Ur veiltail is gorgeous!! Once again, great fishies!!! Regular Member svendenhowser Posted October 15, 2005 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 15, 2005 thanks guys, i love my fishies too! hehe d_golem it probably is a ranchu then, heres another pic http://tbbw.customer.netspace.net.au/anima.../fish%20041.jpg it has a little bump on its tail too i just think it adds to his cutness it wobbles when it wobbles around the tank My redcap has survived both the tank masacres, maybe thats why it isn't growing. Its only about 9cm including tail and about 4 years old. When anyone comes over to my house who hasn't seen my tank before, they are first like "hola what a huge tank". Then they look at the fish and go urrgh... what the... "that one has a red tumour" *points to redcap*. But everyone loves my big chocolate fella He too has survived both the tank masacres and is still going strong.
