Regular Member nichjake Posted October 12, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted October 12, 2005 Last weekend I got a new little fish and I just cant seem to think of a name for her, at least I think its a her. I've had many ideas that I think are great and cute and decide on that name but then ten minutes later I either forgot the name or it sounds dumb. I always have a horrible time naming fish, it took me four months to name Freddie and I had him since he hatched. I dont want this new one to go that long without a name. Also I'm not sure what this new little fish is, the tank just said "Fancy Goldfish" and she was in with a Pearlscale and a calico something...I'm not quite sure what. I really liked this little fish so I did'nt really care what type it was but now I'm wondering. Anyways, heres some pics. http://community.webshots.com/photo/475170003UCAJyz http://community.webshots.com/photo/475170...475170109hChRaU http://community.webshots.com/photo/475170...475170469fXBvXe Any ideas for a name or what she might be? Regular Member nichjake Posted October 13, 2005 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 13, 2005 Sparty actually kind of scares me. His head and muscles are to big.... I love him, just so long as he stays far away from me

Regular Member onefish3 Posted October 13, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted October 13, 2005 I think she looks like an Olive. I can't tell whether she has telescope eyes or not either; if not, she's probably a fantail. If so, then she's probably some kind of mix.
Guest Bigphil
I love naming my fish although I do understand how hard it can be. when i looked at the 3rd photo of him/her the first thing I thought was "What an unusual colour" and thought maybe simply "Bronze" for a name. As most goldies originate from Japan how about finding the Japanese word for bronze and calling her/him something close to that? You can get books of childrens names, perhaps someone should produce one for goldfish names! Good luck with naming ?????? let us know what you decide. Regular Member Dory Posted October 13, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted October 13, 2005 wow she's pretty! i think she's a fantail, because her eyes look much to small to be a moor. I think Black Silver would be a good name for her!
