Regular Member Groucho the goldfish Posted November 7, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted November 7, 2003 I got this rock from a freshwater lake in michigan washed it off really good and put it in my tank and for a year almost everything was fine but now there is little green moss looking stuff on it but its not sticking out or flourishing and its only on that stone. do you have any suggestions on what it is? Regular Member daryl Posted November 7, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted November 7, 2003 Yea! Sounds like you have yummy, munchy green algae. The fish will have a feast soon! The rock isprobably just rough enough that the algae has attached nicely. You will see more algae soon, elsewhere, I am sure. Conggratulations - it is GREEN!
