Regular Member Bubbles Posted September 5, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted September 5, 2005 I went to check up on my brothers fish as I like to do about once a week. He seems fine, except I noticed his eyes seems cloudyish. I will try to get a pictue later, but what could be causing this? He's a 4-5 inch (with tail) commet in a 10 gallon tank by himself. I'm not sure on anything else about water quality or anything because he is not my fish. Thank you for any help.

Regular Member toothless Posted September 5, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted September 5, 2005 Sounds as though your brothers fish is suffering from the beginnings of a flexbacter infection. This is usually attributed to poor water quality. Here's the info we need for a correct diagnosis and to suggest a treatment: Name and size/model of the filtration unit? Ammonia, nitrIte and nitrAte levels from the tankwater? Please get these questions answered, without them, all that can be suggested is an increase in waterchanges. This might not fix the root of the problem and it could return. So, the info above will help greatly....... Paul
