Do quarantine tanks need to be cycled, since your just going to be putting in parasite clears and maybe a bacterial med which will kill the cycle anyway, does it have to be cycled?

Do parasite clear meds kill the cycle?

Thanks

Jungle Labs Parasite Clear will not harm biological filtration.

A quarentine tank does NOT have to be cycled. However, it is highly recommended to perform daily waterchanges, without fail, according to the test results for ammonia. Absolutely 0ppm ammonia should be strived for, throughout the entire quarentine/hosptial process. Dialy gravel vacs to suck up poo and uneaten food are a must if there is no mechanical filtration.

Ammo-chips (zeolite) can be used as gravel in such a tank (rinsed VERY well first). It will slurp up all the ammonia that forms in between waterchanges. Yes, even with ammo-chips, I suggest freshening up the water a bit, daily.

Did that help explain a bit? If you need more ifo, dont hesitate to ask..... ;)
