River Rocks?

Before I came to koko's I had set up my tank and I have gravel and some sand in it, but reading that the goldies can choke on rocks. I was wondering if I should replace the gravel with river rocks.. but was a bit wary as my tank is still cycling and I probably have some good bacteria in the gravel, it wouldn't be good to disturb that right?

How would I remove it and when is the best time?

If your gravel isn't too deep you can cover it with river rocks. Sometimes goldies will dig down under rocks in this set up and get at the gravel, but you could try and then gradually remove the gravel as the rocks begin to grow bacteria as well.

I have the small pebbles in my tank, and then a large cover of river rock over the top. It has helped ALOT. Ever since, my goldies havent gotten a single rock stuck (chubby did three times!). Also, the small pebbles underneath are awsome for live plants. Mine have rooted very nicely into them.
