Moonlight Bulb

I've got a moonlight bulb (simulates moonlight) that was initially purchased for my hermit crab and I'm wondering if it's safe to use for goldfish instead.

I am thinking of using the current normal light during the day and the moonlight bulb at night.

cheers

If you're referring to the LED type moonlight lamps, I think they're great. I have two 3/4 watt Coralife Moon Glow LED lights on my 90ga tank that I run from 10PM to 6AM. It's nice to be able to see your fish at night and the lights aren't bright enough to interfere with the sleeping habits of your fish.

Not to mention the awesome rippling shadows that pinspot lamps create. I just love the way all the shadow dance around in the tank when you use them..... ;)

Ooohhh that sounds awsome!

i have never heard of them. I may have to look for one considering I am up late at night alot and often have people over late. Nice to be able to see the fish then :)
