Regular Member Fantail Posted August 28, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted August 28, 2005 Probably hair algae, it is harmless, just ugly. You can remove it by scraping it off.

Regular Member Tosakin in Oz Posted August 29, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted August 29, 2005 Hey, Is it new driftwood? when I first put my driftwood in my trop tank I had the same thing happen, it started to grow white fluffy stuff, this stuff is a type of fungus, but it's not bad type, and yes bristlenoses eat it, it should clear up after a while.
