Regular Member fishrpets Posted July 21, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 21, 2005 I just recently started adding real plants...so I'm hoping it goes well. I'm not known for a green thumb :crp but I'm hoping this will be better for me since they are in water....and I love water!
Regular Member BigRedandBlindWillie Posted July 21, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 21, 2005 My tank is heavily planted. I like it much better that way, and I think the goldies seem more happier with the live plants... but maybe thats because they have an endless supply of snacks. Guest Inasoso
lol! I have plants, but not heavily. I understand endless snacks, but I enjoy watching them in open waters, weaving through the plants and caves, chasing eachother and plotting to rule the tank. (my fish pinky and the brain, orange van rio tetras apply to that last one )

Regular Member Jeana727 Posted July 23, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 23, 2005 I really like real plants! I think they look better & add a different movement to the tank. Real plants make the aquarium look more that an actual fish environment. Try those bunches of "plant pods"....I get them at nnnnnn in the fish section. You place them around your tank and in a week or so little plants start to poke out. I enjoy watching them grow. They turn out to be very pretty. I even have to clip mine every once in a while.
