I've been thinking about it, so now I will ask. How does different type of lighting affect your fish's color? Let's say you have your fish in the sun, what colors will this inhibit on your fish. How bout' if you have your fish in a dark setting, how will this affect color? OR, what if you use a flourescent bulb as a source of lighting, will this have the same affect as the sun?

Thanks,

David :)

I don't know the answer to your question completely, but my guess would be that natural light would enhance the fish's colour best. Artificial light would probably not dull or enhance the colour - though it may dull it. Again, this is just my educated guess! :)

If you keep a goldfish in a completly dark place (like a closed closet or something like that) it will turn white (read it in a book) so I aggree with Florissa =D

Sunlight will brighten the colors, like red and orange. But like many other fish, the color will be slightly affected to the enviroment, so the fish blends in.
