Guest calico4
Is there any thing I need to know? Is there a per gallon rule? I though like 1 for a gallon or 2, since they are soo small. I know they need a filter... -calico
Regular Member touchofsky Posted July 9, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 9, 2005 You should always get more females than males, since the males chase the females and having more females means that no one is being unduly stressed. I would suggest at least 3 females for every male. Also, if you do get both males and females, you have to be prepared to have additional tanks for the young. The females get larger than the males, but I would suggest a couple of gallons per fish, since they do require good water quality. Please feel free to ask questions, and please keep us posted and let us know when you get your guppies
