Regular Member silver8328 Posted July 6, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 6, 2005 Im confused about something, do you mean your doing a water change and thats why your taking your fish out? If so you shouldn't have to even take your fish out.
Regular Member cupoftea Posted July 6, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 6, 2005 ditto Silver, when doing a weekly water change, you should leave your fish in their tank whilst gravel vacuming and replacing 30% of the water. Moving them to another tank is stressful and therefore best avoided. You can still clean algae off the glass and any plants/ormaments with the fish in the tank. Don't clean the whole thing in one go though, cos you don't want to upset the tank's cycle. Apologies if I'm telling you how to 'suck eggs'! bw cupoftea
Regular Member fishrpets Posted July 7, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 7, 2005 I agree, I leave the fish in their tank unless I have to quarentine one. You can clean around them (carefully).
