Regular Member The_Mohican Posted July 4, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 4, 2005 Ok so I was doing my weekly water changes today and really trying to clean out all the corners in my 20 gal. so i move the fake log I have in the one corner and my newly aquired rubber lip pleco shot out, and it was dark! when i bout it on saturday it was a lighter kinda sandy color and to day it was a dark kinda blackish color? Did it change color because it was under the dark log? Just wondering if any over rubber lip owner have had this happen to them
Regular Member Jaxom_Ruatha Posted July 4, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 4, 2005 Sounds to me like it is just comfortable and healthy in its new environment where as it was probably stressed at the fish store. Fish become more colorful when they are calm.

Regular Member TamtheLittleBlackMoor Posted July 4, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 4, 2005 Yup, just adjusting to enviroment. A few of my bristle noses do that after water changes because they get all disturbed, they colour back up within minutes though. Happy to hear he's settling in.
