Guest Mfish
Can you keep zebra danios w/ goldies? What other danios can you keep w/ goldies?
Regular Member Gold Ryu Posted July 3, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 3, 2005 Aren't danios tropical? And the goldies might eat the danios, they usaully eat anything that fits in its mouth. So the dannio might become a snack.
Guest Mfish
Zebra Danios can become used to cooler temp to about 70F. And yes thats what I was afraid of. Will goldfish eat them? I know you can keep white clouds w/ goldfish and zebra danios are about the same size.
Regular Member Gold Ryu Posted July 3, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 3, 2005 Actually white clouds are eaten too.In another post The Mohican(sorry if i spelled wrong) had hers eaten by her goldies. If you provide lots of plants and hiding places it might work. Regular Member touchofsky Posted July 3, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 3, 2005 Danios and white clouds can be kept successfully with smaller fancy goldfish. I wouldn't keep them with very large goldfish, though, since they could become a snack.
Regular Member benno Posted July 5, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 5, 2005 I've kept my white clouds and some danios with goldies with no problems at all... they can all out swim my fancies, so the fancies no longer bother chasing them. As touchofsky said, it wouldn't be too good of an idea keeping them with very large fish - that can swim quick.

Regular Member lillypetal Posted July 10, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 10, 2005 keep them away i say, you dont want to wake up and find your goldie is missing half its tail, and your danio has mysteriously gone missing
