Guest Bigphil
I have learnt from my mistake. Madge, Bill and Ben are gone and It really hurt, but I will not give up. I talked to my local pet store and met a man called Jo. He absolutly loves fish and when I told him about about Madge and friends he was sooo sympathetic. He has been round to my flat and looked at my new 55 Gal tank (Home of Sooty and Sweep (Black Moors) He tested the water and said that the tank is fully cycled. (0 Ammonia : .5 Nitrate : 0 Nitriye) He has said that there is no problem in introducing another 1 or 2 fish but deffinatelt no more! He believes that the 10 Gal rule should be a 15 Gal Rule. Jo has offered to come again and look at my other 29 Gal tank, set it up and test in a few weeks befor adding some fish. I am really skint so can't pay him, so i've invited Him and his wife round for a meal. Pray for them!!!! Thanks so much for your support on this site. I don't know what inspires the people who run it to do so but THANK YOU Koko.
Regular Member LaurieP Posted June 30, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted June 30, 2005 What a wonderful man. He sounds like he is very nice and helpful. I think it is great you are offereing to cook for them. Sometimes that is the best thing to share with people instead of always paying them. Regular Member fishrpets Posted June 30, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted June 30, 2005 I agree with Laurie, the meal and friendship sound so much better than payment. It's great for him to be helping you out like this!
Regular Member Fishmerised Posted July 1, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted July 1, 2005 Wow, that sounds great. Jo was probably just as impressed with you because he may not come across many people who actually get attached to their fish.
