Guest calico4
I think you should get a common or comet, because they last longer. I like the kinds you have up there, they are better in my opinion. -calico
Regular Member Bella_Butterfly Posted May 8, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted May 8, 2005 I believe a single-tailed goldfish (shubunkin, comet, common ect.) would be a good choice to start with. But its up to you
Guest sourmilknightmares
You need a bubble eye! Everyone needs to own AT LEAST one bubble eye. Seeing as how they probably aren't your cup of tea because they aren't on the list. My second choice would be a lionhead. Gotta love those puppy dog cheeks! Regular Member cometgoldielover Posted May 9, 2005 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 9, 2005 The ones on my list are the ones that came to mind first. Regular Member Fantail Posted May 9, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted May 9, 2005 Orandas are very good fancy goldfish, not too fragile and still pretty. They are kinda hardy.

Regular Member fishrpets Posted May 9, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted May 9, 2005 My personal favorite is the oranda. But they all have something special about them. You could wait and see what suits you best when you are ready to buy. Sometimes there is that certain one just waiting for you to bring home that day. Regular Member froggydella Posted May 10, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted May 10, 2005 I am a fan of the black moor myself, I think they look so sleek and velvetty!! But go with what your little heart desires
Regular Member Roano Posted May 10, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted May 10, 2005 Orandas are my personal favorites, but it depends on what your personal preferance is. Commons and comets are very hardy, but since you don't have the room for more than one, I would choose your favorite fancy. I also suppose what type you choose also depends on the stock in your particular area. Make sure to save tank room for a Cankin! Good luck in fish hunting! Regular Member Drgong Posted May 10, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted May 10, 2005 Go to the store, and fine one you like.... Actully, two of my goldfish are not "types" but most likely breeder rejects, but I am quite happy to have them in my tank.
