Guest Sacreligioushippie
Hi all. I don't know what I have as far as the sex of my two fantails. They're still kinda young, only about 1 1/2 inches including the tail. Anyway, I know a cold period followed by a gradual warming period is supposed to help trigger spawning. So if I kept my tank at a constant temperature, then when the time comes would they be less likely to spawn? ~Jessica
Guest calico4
They probably wont breed anyway because they are too small. They need to get bigger. But you are right they wont breed if they temp. is the same all the time. -calico
Regular Member LaurieP Posted May 9, 2005 Regular Member Share Posted May 9, 2005 I don't know, you would think in theory it would work but my tank is a constant 76 and every spring I get a "party" going on. My female just continues to produce eggs whether the boys are ready or not.
