Is it a natural behavior for GF to eat bubbles at the surface after being fed? Or is this the sign of some type of sickness?

Hi there clear water - just looking at my tank and about 7 of my guys are up on the surface eating bubbles

Eating bubbles is different than gasping for air at the surface though... but if it's just bubble eating, then there shouldn't be a problem :)

Do you feed floating foods, or sinking ones?

It is not good that they eat the bubbles, this can lead to SBD. Taking precautions to avoid them eating at the surface is the best way to deter this, however some gf will continue to do so.

Those fish will be suseptiable to SBD and should be watched closely and fasted once every week to avoid problems.

EatBubbles thats a funny/cool user name.

I feed Hikari sinking pellets and I just got a bag of progold or goldpro from the goldfish connection people. I feed peas once or twice a week. Every now and then I feed frozen bloodworms. The one thing I haven't been doing is fasting. Also, I always presoak pellets till their nice and soft.
