Omega One Flakes?

Are Omega One flakes a good staple food? What do I need to supplement it with? Also, I heard that one of the ingredients is a carcinogen??!! :blink: What's the deal with this food? I thought it looked like the best because it had all goo, fresh ingredients...but now I am second guessing myself (too bad, because my guys are LOVING the stuff!) :angry:

Anyway, here is the ingredient/nutrient list:

INGREDIENTS: Whole Salmon, Black Cod, Seafood Mix (including Krill, Rockfish and Shrimp), Wheat Flour, Wheat Gluten, Fresh Kelp, Lecithin, Astaxanthin, L-Ascorbyl 2 Phosphate (source of Vitamin C), Natural and Artificial Colors, Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin D-3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Vitamin B-12 Supplement, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Folic Acid, Biotin, Inositol, Tocopherol (preservative), Ethoxyquin (preservative)

ANALYSIS:

Min. Crude Protein: 39%

Min. Crude Fat: 10%

Max Crude Fiber: 2%

Max Moisture: 8.5%

Max Ash: 8%

Max Phospherus: .5%

Min Omega 3: 2%

Min Omega 6: 1%

The ingredients sound ok, I don't read where the carinogen is???

Who makes it?? The omega parts of the food are excellent supplements for them.

I would say it is probably ok, but I would watch them and see how they are after they have eaten it a while.

Remember gf need some variety so fruits and veggies are important too.
