Up until two days ago they have held on at 0.1, I've been doing 10% water changes with the occasional 25-30% change thrown in. So for the last two days I've had nitrite readings at 0.3. Both days I did a 25% water change. Do you think this is my nitrite spike, or will they rise higher? If not I would let your water change go one more day than normal, check the levels of nitrites to make sure there okay and not rising. Regular Member Ranchugirl Posted October 15, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted October 15, 2003 Just to give your fishies a little help, you can add some salt into the water to ease the effects that nitrite has on the gills. 1 tbsp per 5 gl water brings it up to 0.1%.
