Internal Filters?

I've some of those at the lfs and the current is wild. I wouldn't use them even for a goldie.

I have a charcole/sponge filter driven by an air pump in my betta tank. The bubbles only create current at the surface and my bettas don't mind it.

I have a 1200L/hr internal filter for my goldfish, it does have psycho flow, but the goldfish dont seem to mind and i have from 3cm to like 15cm goldies in there.

but for a siamese fighter... it would knock him out ;P. Even the HOB filter i have in my community tank which he used to be in was too much for him. I too have one of those air driven filter wool filter type things, basically no current.
