But the simplest way to go is salt :)

2 days? 1 week?

help...i'm from cebu. my red oranda goldfish seems to be floating must have some air in it's belly. the fish store guy told me to transfer it in another tank and fast for a few days and also add a heater. do i really need a heater? and i read in some topics here that i should feed it peas. is it the frozen one you buy in groceries? thanks in advance.

Hi kimphie. First things first, mahilig sila magbigay ng advice na heater kasi mahilig mga yun sa tropicals. Goldfishes are cold water fish and should never be used with a heater.

Pag floating, wag mo muna pakain ng 1 day. Then squeeze a lil' and place into tank. Hopefull umayos. Sakin medyo matagal eh, mga 2 weeks inabot but worked.

And another thing, NEVER FEED FLAKES!!!

Hehehehe...Lynda goes to cartimar more than I do, so does that make her the cartimar princess? hehehe

I used to go there a lot since its only a jeep ride away. The only problem was how I was going to pass through the guards the goldfishes that i would bring home since i take the MRT :rofl .

hi guys thanks for all the help it seems she's back to normal but sometimes she still floats. i'm feeding her tetrafin gold growth pellets.i'll try to do all the test first. just bought sera aquatan, n02, n03, and ph test. still couldn't find the kh test kit. should i also use the sera water clear?

actually i'm really new into the gold fish hobby. i have a 30 gallon tank with one goldfish. i'm still waiting for my LFS to have new stocks coz i want to get the really big ones. i'm still on the design stage of my 55 to 60 gallon tank. that should hold more fish coz i want about 3 more.

i currently have an eiheim professional 2222 on my tank and an eheim liberty 200. i have my tank for about a week don't have any idea bout cycling and all. eventually i'll be getting a 2228 professional for my 55 gallon tank and another liberty 200. these two plus my existing pumps. is this enough filtration for my fish. sorry for my long post. got these pumps at a bargain price coz whitegold had a big sale. got my 2222 for just 4k.

where do i get big oranda gold fish? is there a shop in manila or mindanao that ships the fish to cebu? thanks again guys.

Whoa! I am so jealous. All I have is 2 20 gallon tanks.

Cycling? well...sakin super short cut. Clean a brand new tank, half fill with water. Add salt...then let the filters run for a day. Tas add old tank water or a few pieces of food para may ammonia build up. Then maybe after a day or two add one fish at a time :)

Tetrafin pellets are ok. Just a bit too small for them when they get bigger. Mas ok ata hikari.

Sera clear water? No need naman for me ah, basta ok cycling mo and clear na water mo ayos na. Once your tank water turns white, that means you have a sick fish or poor filteration.

Ship to cebu? Hmm...ask ko. :)
