I know there are a lot of goldfish addicts here in the Philippines. All the serious hobbists here all started out with goldfishes then moved onto other fishes like FlowerHorns and Arowanas. I'm just hoping that one of you guys are here in this forum too.

I'm just starting. Planning to get red cap oranda after I get my tank cycled. The Under Sea store at the top of SM north is some ways better than the usual biofeed.

Im afraid though that they might not take the heat. Everyone recommends keeping them around 26 degrees. But I dont have an aircon at my place.

Goldfish will easly thrive in hotter climates. No problems with the heat. They actually are not that nice to watch in colder climates coz they don't swim as much. Do you use water test kits and all? Honestly, I don't. Except for Ph where we have a digital thing here.

That's great to hear. Thanks.

Grabeng mahal ng test kits. I just figure, once I have algae na, that means cycled na ako kasi ibig sabihin nun may nitrates na. :P

Hehehehe. Well...my tanks are currently over crowded but i'm gettin 2 35 gallons on April. Where you from? I'm from san juan and study in DLSU manila so isang jeep lang asa cartimar na ako. Aysoh. Nu set up mo?

Ako 2 20g na naka double stand, and OHF filter for both. (with 8 goldfish) nyaks...overstocked ng 4 na goldfish.

Swerte mo.

Diliman ako. Used to study sa UP.

New setup, sorta. I started nun August. Namatay. (Yan kasing med treatment na yan. Nasobrahan sa gamot. Dapat lang pala palitan ang tubig.)

Waited for one month before getting new babies. Ayoko kasi ng Libra na gf. Problema pala pag Scorpio na gf masyadong mahiyain. Hay...

May mga zodiac sign ba mga goldfish? Di ko lam yun ah. Hahahaha

Bilis tumubo. Isang araw lang 1/2 inch na ang nilaki. May pics ka ng set up mo?

Yaw mag attatch ng pic ko dito. Bad trip

Lahat ng bagay may zodiac sign. Yun cd burner ko binili ko nun Leo, hayan tuloy mabilis uminit. :P

Oks na Capricorn yun gf mo. Walang problema.

So, forget the pics, boring. Nakalutang lang yun Cabomba. Walang cabomba sa bioresearch though. :( Kinain nila kaagad!

Well...bare bottom din ako. Murang mura. Eh isang jeep lang mula sa DLSU. Do you use Yahoo Messenger?

San ka bumili ng powerhead? Never buy from Bio research. Sobra mahal. binibili ko lang dun is hikari and tetra foods, plants and a lil fish. yung power head nila mga 500 plus to 1000 na eh.

Anyway, too late now. Meron bang freeze dried foods sa Cartimar? Tubifex worms lang makita ko sa bioresearch.

Well...obviously di naman as in 100 plus tlga. Basta less than half of the price in bio research. I bet meron namang blood worms dun. Meron ding live tubiflex worms, pero medyo madumi. Yung dito sa amin sa may greenhills, mga 70 pesos for a pack yung frozen blood worms. 30 to 40 cubes na yun.

Gano kalaki ba tank mo? Anong filter gamit mo?

Er, where exactly sa greenhills?

15 gallons yun akin. Just a corner filter attached to the powerhead tapos output spraybar. I'll try to post pics this weekend. Cge.

Eto yung tank set up ko. Tagal na yang pic na yan and now i have lights na and a bit more fish. Sa may wilson st. banda ako.

Mas maganda ang Over head filter. Buy a brand like Jebo or sea quest. Ok yun. Mas maganda ang filteration. Yung corner filter might not be enough.

Whoa. Cool man. Im impressed. Very professional looking.

Sana pwede ma-swap or mabenta yun powerhead ko ngayon.

Thanks.

Yeah...mura nga ang OHF assembly. Just stay away from the brand precision. Pangit sobra.

Sama nga sobra ng UGF. Mas maganda pag bare bottom. What we do to keep a bare bottom tank set up with plants is to put the plants in small jars or pots filled with gravel. This way, may substrate ka for your plants.

15gallon diba? Yung OHF ko sa bottom tank, yung black one, made by sea quest, mga 300 lang siya sa cartimar and 350 sa ibang petshop. More than enough na siya for a 15gallon.

My sister is thinking of getting mollies for the 30 gallon back at home. And my sis wants my spraybar. Thanks for the tip, dude.

I already took the pics but I have to upload via infrared pa sa laptop ng sis ko.

Yep. Bilis din magbreed ng mollies. bilis dumami. Ayosh! Basta keep them well fed di naman nila kinakain yung mga plants ko. Except for one of my pearlscales, so inilipat ko siya sa ibang aquarium. Nagpopost ka ba sa www.palhs.com?

Actually, I like it na kumakain sila ng plants. Parang vegetables bale. Good for the health. Saka medyo constipated pa yun isa.

Di ba pang Arowana at flowerhorn ang palhs. I don't like either fish.
