Noodle, my four year old pest scale has some fin rot after being bullied by a new fish who would eat on her ( he has since been rehomed) I am treating her with Macryn and was wondering if I can add paraguard to this ? Or should this be enough ? Or anything better ? If this doesn’t help I will get her to the vet ASAP :)

I’d need to see some pictures of the fin rot

to help with treatment, and we need the diagnostic form filled out just to assure nothing else is going on that might have come in with the new fish, and that tank chemistry is as it should be and conducive to healing, too.

so pictures, please, and fill this out as completely as possible :)

if the fish has been bullied than this is not fin rot but just torn fins. I would not treat with anything but really clean water and let the fish heal. When ever we treat for bacterial/fungal issues we also have a tendency to kill off the beneficial bacteria in the tank. I would isolate your pearlie into his own tank with a filter that has limited current. Clean water and rest should do the trick
