Regular Member AnnabelTamara Posted August 6, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted August 6, 2020 Hi, I have two small fantails in a pond. i don’t breed. I believe one is a female as she has become large bellied like she’s carrying eggs. I know she’s not bloated and she doesn’t have dropsy or anything. So I assume she. She is also very actively now chasing around her pond mate who I assume is Male. He is a bit smaller than her, but before the belly growing on her they weren’t competitive and they would happily pall around the pond. she doesn’t chase him all the time but when she does it’s on and off for a good while. She isn’t fin nipping or anything but I think it’s stressing the Male/ smaller female out. Can anyone advise? Or give me a better insight.
