Aquaclear 110 in a 60 gallon flow rate for fancy goldfishes

Recommended Posts

Aquaclear 110 is rated for 500 gallons per hour. I have a 60 gallon. Planning to keep 3 orandas. Will the flow rate be too much for the fish. Do they prefer hobs with a faster flow rate or sponge filters with a slower flow.

Thank you

That will be fine :) we generally recommend for HOBs to have 10x the flow rate of the tank capacity

I love to have an HOB and. Sponge filter in my tank. This way I can service one filter at a time with out distrubting the cycle.
Your HOB will be just fine the that tank
