HELP!!!

Recommended Posts

Bean isn’t spunky this morning and is listing to the side a little. What is going on? I woke up in the middle of the night to him/her floating at the top, but I thought maybe it was sleeping. This morning it is floating too and now on the bottom, but still not spunky and isn’t eating. Plus it is kinda tilted a bit to the side!

I’m sorry, I’ve been running all afternoon and wasn’t home.  Chances are it was a parasite or internal infection that took him down fast.  He was alarmingly skinny, which always makes me lean towards pathogens like hexamita that damage the intestinal lining and make it difficult for the fish to absorb nutrients. Please do sterilize your tank and equipment before trying again.  I’m sorry!
