Fastlane 174 Posted June 25, 2018 I know a lot of members? enthusiast has made their own aquarium stand. I also just wanna share my experience and output of my DIY stand. I used 2x4's for the frame. Plywood and 1x5's for the facade. Nails , trim nails and spas screws and some pocket screws. Also added hardwares to finish my stand. Though, I sanded down the facade and some of the rough areas of the plywood to give it a better smooth finish. A tip would be to place the part your goin to paint in a horizontal manner. I found one that wasn't really the 40b stand. (Of course no water yet) 😂 after filling half of the tank still tried to sway the stand and still here was no shake.
